Frequently Asked Questions

Social media is the best and cheapest way to promote your business, because pretty much everyone is on social media these days, and you can reach a wide audience. Posting regularly on social media can help increase your online visibility, build brand awareness, drive engagement, and generate leads. But if you don’t post, people won’t know about your business, so they can’t become your customers.

No. There’s no point being active on every social media channel for the sake of it. It’s hard enough to keep up appearances on just one channel. Instead, pick the channel or channels that your audience is most likely to be active on. For example, corporate businesses and business owners are most likely to be active on LinkedIn, whereas, you’re more likely to find Gen Z on TikTok. Similarly, think about the type of business you run. If you’re a product-based business, Instagram is a good option to showcase your work. If your business is community-based, Facebook might be a better option.
It’s a good idea to have some content pillars and create a content strategy when posting on social media. This helps create more structure in what you post, to build authority and avoid posting willy-nilly. It’s important to show potential customers what you do and how you can help them. It’s also good to show your face occasionally, because people buy from people. Behind the scenes content often goes down well too.

Creating a content strategy might sound scary, but that’s what I’m here for!
Think about when your audience is most likely to be around. Most experts will tell you that early mornings during the week (before people go to work) and early evenings (when they get home or are on their way home) are the most active times on social media. The main thing is to find what works for you and try to stick to it. Finding the right time for you can often be a case of trial and error – so try a certain time and stick to it for a few weeks. Then if you’re not getting the reach you’d like, try a different time.
